We were quite blown away by the selection of food, so many good options. I had a lovely bowl of mussels, which were really good. Not many places do mussels, especially pubs, so I had to seize this opportunity. My group had their starters too, which they enjoyed like paté and camembert. For mains, I had a massive burger, which I enjoyed so much that I forgot to take a picture. For dessert, I had a delectable sticky toffee pudding that again I again forgot to take a pic of. I just want to shout out to the lovely lady server we had that went out of our way for our child and got a special strawberry on top of their ice cream, which my child loved. The service was great. Greeting was very friendly and welcoming and a drink brought very quickly while we perused the new menu. Quite a lot to choose from - both light bites and main and certainly a good choice for vegetarians for a change. Opted for a delicious goats cheese on toast, with egg, pesto, pine nuts and watercress ... lots of taste there to tickle the taste buds. Mum opted for a traditional ham egg and chips...a 'plate plenty' for the hungry! we decided to treat ourselves to a sweet - well...apart from the tasty traditional puds like apple crumble, sticky toffee pudding, and cheese a board - there was a baileys Brulee, and a white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake! Made on site, incredibly tasty and beautifully presented with a chard of chocolate on top ...Its the tastiest, lightest and not sickly sweet cheesecake i have had   in a long time - and I travel a lot!! The pub we were told had just been taken over,  and we certainly will be visiting regularly, lovely pleasant and friendly staff and pleasant, comfortable surroundings..very good and reasonably priced food. We enjoyed a great lunch meal today and can't wait to try their dinner menu too. Décor and seating still tired, but very friendly staff and nice garden.
